On Friday, August 31, Kettering City Schools hosted their first “Veteran’s Appreciation Night” during the high school football game against Miamisburg.  Honor Flight Dayton was one of three charities selected for this year’s Spirit Chain competition and the Veteran’s Appreciation night was the school’s way of celebrating Honor Flight Dayton and the many WWII and Korean veterans in the Kettering area.  Veterans and their families were escorted onto the feild prior to the game where they were given a much deserved standing ovation by both the home and visitor sides of the field.  Our thanks go to Kettering Schools for making this a very special night for our American Heros!!!
