Racing the Plane

Erik Jon Barrett from Hunter, OH  is going to meet up with our departing Honor Flight at Dayton International Airport to “send-off” our veterans and then hit the road on his Harley. He’ll meet our same group of vets in D.C. at the US Marine Corps War Memorial. After a brief stop, he’ll be back on the road to Dayton so he can be there to greet them at the “Welcome Home” that night. It’s 493 miles each way, plus 70 miles round trip to his house and back. That puts him at 1000 miles in about a 19-hour window. You can help by sponsoring a mile for as little as $10 a mile … with a total distance of over 1000 miles that makes his goal $10,000.  All his ride expenses are covered and he is donating all the money he receives to Honor Flight Dayton where 99.02% of the funds will be used to help fly our WWII, Korean and Vietnam veterans to D.C. to see their memorials and feel the long overdue recognition and heartfelt appreciation of a truly grateful nation.
